HYDRAULIC DUAL GAUGE WHEEL
Refer to Figure 2-1:
1.
Attach gauge wheel mounting bracket (#7) to the
mainframe with two 7/8"-9 x 12" GR5 hex head cap
screws (#9) and 7/8" hex flange locknuts (#10).
Tighten nuts to the correct torque.
2. Insert pivot tube (#8) into gauge wheel arm (#4) and
attach gauge wheel arm to gauge wheel mounting
bracket (#7) with 7/8"-9 x 12" GR5 hex head cap
screws (#9) and 7/8" hex flange locknuts (#10).
Tighten nut to the correct torque.
3. Insert dual wheel gauge caster assembly (#3) into
gauge wheel arm (#4).
4. Insert retainer washer (#6) over caster shaft and
secure with 1/2" x 2 1/2" long roll pin (#13).
5. Remove harden bushings (#21) and store for safe
keeping.
6. Attach center floating top link (#2) to the top center
holes in the hitch frame with 1 1/4" x 4 1/4" hitch

Storage Slots
7.
Attach hydraulic cylinder to the lugs on the gauge
wheel with two clevis pins (#11). Make sure hydraulic
ports are on top and cylinder base is attached to
mounting bracket (#7) as shown.
8. Secure clevis pins with cotter pins (#12). Bend one or
more legs of the cotter pins to retain them.
9. Remove shipping port plugs from cylinder ports.
10. Screw two 90 degree elbows (#16) to the cylinder
ports with O-rings facing the ports. Orient fittings as
shown and tighten.
11. Screw adapter fittings (#17) to one end on each of the
two 180" long hydraulic hoses (#19 & #20) with
O-rings facing away and tighten.
12. Attach
customer supplied hydraulic couplings
(#18)
to adapter fittings (#17) and tighten.
13. Screw the other end of hydraulic hoses (#19 & #20) to
elbow fittings (#16) and tighten.
14. Route hydraulic hoses through brackets “A” & “B”.
Store hose ends in storage slots. If hitched to a
tractor, connect hoses to tractor’s hydraulic system.
IMPORTANT:
Attach cylinder base to the front
mounting lug. The base will interfere with the gauge
wheel arm if attached to the rear mounting lug.
