Wing Positioning
Wings are utilized to gather and keep rocks and debris in
front of the roller for the purpose of distributing material
over low areas. There are two working positions and a
position for storage.
Working Positions
Refer to Figure 3-6:
The wings are attached to the front side for gathering and
distributing material while traveling forward. They can be
positioned perpendicular or 15 degrees outward.
1. Remove linchpin (#1) and install right-hand wing over
front mounting tabs (C) while also aligning hinge tube
(#3) with guide pin (#2).
a. Use slots (A) for perpendicular positioning.
b. Use slots (B) for 15 degree outward positioning.
2. Secure wing with linchpin (#1).
3. Repeat steps 1-2 for left-hand wing.
Storage Position
Refer to Figure 3-7 & Figure 3-8:
Wings can be removed and stored on top of rake frame
on each end.
Refer to Figure 3-7:
1. Remove linchpin (#1) and flip right-hand wing upside
down.
2. Install wing to rake frame by aligning slots in wing
with mounting tabs (#2) on rake frame.
3. Reinstall linchpin (#1) over wing and through hole in
mounting tab.
Refer to Figure 3-8:
1. Remove linchpin (#1) and flip left-hand wing upside
down.
2. Install wing to rake frame by aligning slots in wing
with mounting tabs (#2) on rake frame while also
aligning hinge tube (#3) with storage tab (#4).
3. Reinstall linchpin (#1) over wing and through hole in
mounting tab.
