BS40 & BSE40 Spear Options
Three Lower Spears
1. Lubricate full length of tapered holes in lower spear
mounting tubes “A”. Refer to
“Lubricate Spear
Mounting Tube” on page 7 for detailed instructions.
Refer to Figure 1-3:
2. Rotate spear (#3) until a square corner along the
length of the spear is facing up.
3. With corner facing up, insert spear (#3) into spear
mounting tube “A”.
4. Secure spear with M30 x 2 eccentric hex nut (#2).
5. Tighten eccentric hex nut (#2) to the correct torque.
See “Additional Torque Values” on page 24.
6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 for the remaining two spears.
One Upper Spear & Three Lower Spears
1. Lubricate full length of tapered holes in lower spear
mounting tubes “A”. Refer to
“Lubricate Spear
Mounting Tube” on page 7 for detailed instructions.
Refer to Figure 1-4:
2. Rotate 32" or 39" long spear (#4) until a square
corner along the length of the spear is facing up.
3. Insert lower spear (#4) into spear mounting tube “A”.
4. Secure spear with M30 x 2 eccentric hex nut (#2).
5. Tighten eccentric nut (#2) to the correct torque. See
“Additional Torque Values” on page 24.
6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 for the remaining two spears.
7. Lubricate full length of tapered hole in upper spear
mounting tube “A”. Refer to
“Lubricate Spear
Mounting Tube” on page 7 for detailed instructions.
8. Rotate spear (#3) until a square corner along the
length of the spear is facing up.
9. With corner facing up, insert 49" upper spear (#3)
into spear mounting tube “A” as shown.
10. Secure spear with M30 x 2 eccentric hex nut (#2).
11. Tighten eccentric nut (#2) to the correct torque. See
“Additional Torque Values” on page 24.
IMPORTANT: Install eccentric hex nut (#2) with
chamfered surface facing spear mounting tube “A”.
