Maintenance
Proper servicing and adjustments are key to the long life
of any implement. With careful inspection and routine
maintenance, you can avoid costly downtime and repair.
Check all bolts after using the unit for several hours to be
sure they are tight. Replace any worn, damaged, or
illegible safety labels by obtaining new labels from your
Land Pride dealer.
The parts on your Fixed Bar Box Scraper have been
specially designed and should only be replaced with
genuine Land Pride parts. Do not alter the scraper in a
way which will adversely affect its performance.

To avoid serious injury or death:
Make adjustments to the implement after it has been properly
attached to a tractor and secured with solid non-concrete
supports in the up position. Never work around or under
equipment supported by hydraulics. Hydraulics can drop
equipment instantly if controls are actuated or if hydraulic
lines burst even when power to hydraulics is shut off.

Allow only persons to perform maintenance on this
implement who have been properly trained in its safe

Always shut tractor down using “Tractor Shutdown
Procedure” provided in this manual before servicing,
adjusting, cleaning, or maintaining this implement.

Perform scheduled maintenance. Check for loose
hardware, missing parts, broken parts, structural cracks,
and excessive wear. Make repairs before putting the

Do not alter implement or replace parts on the implement
with other brands. Other brands may not fit properly or
meet OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
specifications. They can weaken the integrity and impair the
safety, function, performance, and life of the implement.
Replace parts only with genuine OEM parts.

Always keep your body extremities out from under the
shanks and cutting blades while removing, installing, and
adjusting them. It is possible for the cutting blades and/or
shanks to fall causing injury to your body.

Shank Tips
Refer to Figure 4-1:
Shank tips are removable by heating them in the dimpled
area on both sides and knocking them off with a blunt
punch. New shank tips need to be dimpled with a punch
after they are installed.
Cutting Blades
Refer to Figure 4-1:
The front and rear cutting blades (#4) have two cutting
edges. Replace the cutting blades when both edges are
worn out.
1. Unbolt cutting blade (#4) and turn it over when its
bottom cutting edge wears out.
2. Inspect the 5/8" -11 x 1 3/4" GR5 plow bolts (#1), lock
washers (#3), and nuts (#2) for wear and replace as
needed.
3. Reattach blade (#4) and torque nuts to the correct
torque.
