Deploying and connecting the device
K
When deploying/mounting the device
consider the instructions on
deployment, with particular regard to the environmental conditions,
stackability, etc., as outlined in the technical specifications in the
Quick
Reference Guide
.
K
In the case of LANCOM UMTS/LTE devices,
mount and connect any
antennas
if applicable.
K
Connect your PC to the
LAN port
of the LANCOM.
C
When connecting the Ethernet interfaces, please ensure that the two
devices being connected (e.g. switch and LANCOM) both have the
same setting for auto mode. If a LANCOM is connected to a switch
that does not support auto mode, or if this function has been deacti-
vated in the switch, then auto mode must also be deactivated in the
LANCOM (default = on). Contradictory settings can lead to data trans-
fer errors, either immediately or after some time (days). When com-
missioning the LANCOM, no additional devices are to be connected.
For this reason, when commissioning your LANCOM, it must be con-
nected directly to your PC.
C
Because DHCP is not permitted in CC-compliant operation, you must
assign a fixed IP address to your configuration computer.
K
Connect the device to the power supply
(via the supplied power
adapter unit or power cord) and switch on the power switch.
