• Please read these assembly instructions carefully and store them in a safe
place.
• After purchase, before using the chain, it is recommended that you perform
the diameter adjustment as specified on page 12.
• Perform an assembly test before travelling to make sure that the chain,
properly adjusted in diameter, is correctly positioned on the tire after
running for about 300 meters.
Note
• The snow chain must be used as an emergency means to solve traction and road
holding issues on ice and snow.
• The pre-assembled socket on the rim fastening kit must match the size of the bolts
used on the car
(17, 19, 21 / 22mm).
• Make sure that the fastener kit is properly tightened on the bolt. Proper adjustment
and fastening are the responsibility of the user.
• Install the chains on the driving wheels. In the case of a four-wheel drive vehicle,
install the chains on the wheels that have the greatest traction or follow the
instructions in the vehicle’s user manual.
• When driving with chains installed, remember that the vehicle reacts differently to
various controls. Do not perform sudden braking and / or acceleration.
• Never exceed the speed of 50Km/h when the chains are installed.
• The parts of the chain that are in contact with the asphalt are subject to wear and
tear; therefore, avoid using chains with more than 50% of wear.
• In case you find any breakage of the chain or parts of it, it is necessary to remove it
immediately in order to avoid any damage to the car.
• After use, before storing the chain in its case, it is recommended that you wash it with
lukewarm water and let it dry.
• It is recommended that you wear high-visibility jackets during installation and
removal
• Pilot-Pro chains are covered by a warranty against manufacturing defects. The
warranty is void in cases of speed exceeding the allowed one (50 km/h), incorrect
installation, or prolonged use on non-snowy asphalt. The warranty covers only the
replacement of the defective part and in any case does not cover damages to property
or persons caused by the snow chain.

• Chains must only be used on snow and ice.
• Applicable for vehicles equipped with ABS only.
• Excessive abrasion of the chain may result in certain sections breaking up (chain rings
or components). In this case, do not exceed 50% considering it the maximum allowed
limit of the chain or component abrasion.
• The purpose of this manual is to provide safety instructions and information about
the contents of the package (1 pair of snow chains, instructions for use, metal rings as
replacement, gloves...).
• Snow chains may change the performance of your vehicle. Especially on non-snowy
stretches, performance may be affected (e.g. when braking, turning...).
• All information provided by the vehicle manufacturer must be respected.
• Roadway Traffic Code rules concerning the towing of damaged vehicles must be
respected.
• Each tire size has its corresponding snow chain size that must be strictly respected.
• Check that the size of the tires on your vehicle corresponds to one of the sizes shown on
the front of this package.

• Check what is written in the “
Use and Maintenance Manual
” of the vehicle and
follow the instructions, recommendations and limitations specified therein.
• To identify the chain size, if you do not have the original packaging, you can check the
size on one of the 4 arms of the chain.
