Verifying the temperature of heating block

The heating element in this unit is manufactured to hold the selected temperature
while minimizing temperature variations from the set point. The Pt100 temperature
probe maintains close alignment of set temperature and actual temperature of the
heating block. However, if verification is required, a thermometer may be inserted
in the opening provided in the heating block.
