Setup of Feed Rollers, Chip Breaker and Pressure Bar

WARNING!

Disconnect machine from the power source

before performing any adjustments or

maintenance. Failure to comply may cause

serious injury!

The planer comes set up from the factory

and shouldn’t need any adjustment.

If you find adjustment is necessary,

follow the below listed sections for

setting the infeed roller, chip breaker,

pressure bar and outfeed rollers.

Make a hardwood block to the

specifications in drawing Fig.13. You

can use this wood gauge along with

0.02” feeler gauge to set the planer up

as shown in Fig. 12.

Setup for planning applications.

Depending on the stock and cutterhead

you may find that a different setup may

work better for your particular planning

operation.
