Lubrication (Cont’d.) -
(Instructions on how to remove Gear Box Oil Cover & change Inner Gears is as follows- Cont’d. )
Tools to Use- M6 Wrench.
1.) Safety-Shut Down all Power to PX-22 Planer, Pull Electrical Plug from Outlet.
2.) Remove the Right-Side Cover (Pt.# 172) of the Machine.
3.) Perform Oil Drain Procedure (See Page #61).
4.) Remove the following parts on order-Pt.136, 117, 39, 133, 135, 134, 133, 39, 132.
5.) Then, remove the following parts in order: Parts #50, 51,131, 120, 130.
6.) Then, remove the following parts in order: Parts #43, 44, 137.
7.) Remove Pt.# 182- Cap Screws M6-1.0x20.
8.) Then one can remove the Gear Box Cover, Pt. #139 to obtain access to parts #129, 76, and
Parts #140-150 for replacement.
9.) To re-assemble unit, Performs Steps #7 through #2 in Reverse order. Step #3-Fill
appropriate recommended Oil Type & oil amount in Gear Box.

All chains must be lubricated regularly.
•
Every 30 hours, lubricate the bushings.
•
Lubricate the four lead screws regularly.
•
Teflon Lube is the preferred lubrication for the lead screws.
