CLEANING / MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
1.- Before cleaning, make sure that the fryer is unplugged and the oil is at room temperature.
2.- If you must move the fryer, lift it from it side.
Make sure the bowl is empty and cold.
3.- Do not use aggressive cleaning products or metallic sponges that may scratch the non-stick
steel surfaces when cleaning. Make sure to dry all of the elements well before reassembling
it.
4. - Remove the basket for cleaning.
5. - Extract the oil container carefully, removing any old oil and remains at the bottom; clean the
container. Never pour hot oil down the drain, can cause problems in your installation.
6.- Clean the remains of scale from steam generated inside the cooker and the thermostat.
7.- Remove the lid pulling it outwards. Clean it and re-install it again.
8.- Remember to clean the steam outlet hole in the lid.
9. - Reassemble the elements.
10. - If the fryer will not be used for a long time, store it in a dry, well ventilated place away from
humidity.
MAINTENANCE
The programmable cooking pot does not require special maintenance, but the following
precautions should be taken:
a.- Do not leave the appliance running unsupervised; the oil will decrease and heating
the resistor and sensor without oil may render them inoperative for future uses.
b.- Oil may spontaneously catch fire if the temperature surpasses 300ºC, so you should
never leave it running at maximum temperature.
c.- Only use the original baskets; forcing the basket into the oil container may create a
risk upon removing it when finished.
d.- If you do not use the fryer for long periods of time, we recommend applying a thin
layer of oil over the complete surface, even on the resistor and sensor.
e.- Do not use margarine, butter or lard. They are not suitable for frying since they emit
smoke at low temperatures.
