Cystometry
5.1
Introduction
During the cystometry investigation, the pressure/volume relationship of the
bladder is measured. It is used to assess detrusor activity, sensation, capacity,
and compliance.

During a cystometry investigation, the patient should be awake, un-
anaesthetized, and neither sedated nor taking drugs that affect bladder
function. Any variations should be specified.
5.3
Investigation
Click the
Cystometry
button to start the pre-test.

Prepare the pump and the pump tube as described in § 2.5.4.

Prepare the flowmeter as described in § 2.5.11.

Prepare and insert the catheters. Follow the procedure for:

Reusable solid-state catheters (see § 3.3),
