4.6 Self-test
The
diagnostics in the Service menu, can check the performance of your
DAT103, components, and its functional condition. The screen view shows in Figure 4.6.1.
Figure 4.6.1
The following parameters are checked in the diagnostics table:
Temperature:
inside the Analyzer.
Temperature is the main environmental factor, which influences the accuracy of
measurements. If the internal temperature value is within the allowed range of –10 to
50ºС, then
Ok
status will display at the end of this parameter line. If the temperature is
outside this range, then status will not display. Alternately if temperature value «---»
displays, the temperature measuring device should be repaired by our service center.
Bat voltage
. Voltage of the battery.
Bat charge
. Charge level status of battery.
DAT103 is powered by a built-in 7.4 V 1500 mAh Lithium-ion battery. Voltage and
charge status parameters allow you to check battery condition. Remember to disconnect
any external power supplies first! If the measured battery voltage is higher than 6.8 V, then
status will show as
Ok
, if the voltage is below 6.8 V
Low
status indicates. Battery level
status is calculated in percentage, to help you to estimate the time remaining that the
Analyzer will operate. Please note that with decrease of ambient temperature the battery
capacity also decreases.
As soon as DAT103 is connected to an external power source, the charging process
begins. Charging may continue up to 4 hours, depending on the remaining battery charge
level. When this period of time is over the process will stop. If battery voltage drops below
8.02 V, the charging process will resume. Charging current is around 0.6 A
The battery charge circuit automatically stops when the battery voltage exceeds 8.5 V.
Before storing for a long period, a partial charge can help keep the battery serviceable.
CAUTION! DAT103 is shipped with nonstandard Lithium-ion battery. If it expires or
malfunctions, it must be replaced with a new battery by the LABGEAR service center to
ensure reliable Analyzer operation continues.
Program mem
. Firmware status.
This function checks the firmware status of your DAT103. If no errors detected, the
Ok
status is displayed. If an error has been detected, the
Error
status is displayed. In this
case, the firmware must be reinstalled (Section 4.9.5).
