7. Maintenance
Your printer requires routine cleaning, particularly the print-head and the platen roller (rubber roller).
1. Never clean the printer with an aggressive chemical agent or apply a cleaning solution with an
abrasive material. The following materials are ideal:
Cotton swab
Lint-free cloth
Vacuum / Blower brush
100% ethanol. Isopropyl alcohol may be used.
2. The cleaning process is as follows:

1. Always turn off the printer
before cleaning the print-head.
2. Allow the print-head to cool
for a minimum of one minute.
3. Use a cotton swab and
100% ethanol to clean the
print-head surface.
Clean the print head when
changing to a new label roll.
Print Head
Platen Roller
1. Turn the power off.
2. Rotate the platen roller and
wipe it thoroughly with 100%
ethanol using a cotton swab,
or lint-free cloth.
Clean the platen roller when
changing to a new label roll
Tear Bar/Peel Bar
Wipe with 100% ethanol using
a lint-free cloth.
As needed.
Sensor
Remove dust and fluff with a
compressed air aerosol (air
duster) or a mini vacuum
cleaner.
Monthly.
Exterior
Wipe with water-dampened
cloth or use an equipment
foam cleaner.
As needed.
Interior
Soft brush or mini vacuum
cleaner.
As needed.
