When the outdoor readings show dashes:
• First, press your CH button to be sure you are on the correct channel
• Bring the sensor in the house five feet from the station.
• Remove batteries from all sensors, as well as the batteries and the
AC adapter from the station. Press any button 20 times.
• After 15 minutes insert batteries into the sensor, as well as batteries
and the AC adapter into the station.
• Wait 15 minutes to establish a strong connection. Place the sensor
outside in a shaded location within 196 ft (open air) of the station.
The Low Battery Icon indicates when batteries need replacement in the
station or sensor.
• Low battery icon is displayed by the outdoor humidity, replace
the batteries in the outdoor sensor.
• If the icon is displayed near the indoor temperature, replace the
batteries in the station.
Low Battery Icons
• Mount the Outdoor Sensor on a north-facing wall or in any well
shaded area. Under an eave or deck rail is preferred.
• The maximum wireless transmission range to the weather station is
over 196 feet (60 meters) in open air, not including walls or floors.
• Be sure the outdoor sensor is mounted vertically.

• The outdoor readings will appear on screen once the connection is
established.
• It is recommended to keep the sensor and station together for at
least 15 more minutes before moving the sensor to its mounted
location.
