STEP 1
Read through these instructions thoroughly before
beginning assembly. We have found this to be of
great value when first assembling this product.
STEP 2
Remove all parts and hardware from packing
material. Wooden pieces should be placed on a
non-abrasive surface (like the carton or carpet) to
prevent damage to the finish.
STEP 3
Identify all parts using diagram at right.
STEP 4
Identify and count hardware using diagram at right.
Assembly of this product requires an Allen Wrench
(provided), an adjustable wrench and Phillips
screwdriver (not provided)
.
We have found it
helpful to have a second person present in at least
one step of the assembly.
STEP 5
Locate Leg section (A) and three Crosspieces (B).
Attach the crosspieces to leg sections using the 1
½” screws inserted through the predrilled holes in
the leg section (A) into pilot holes in the ends of the
crosspiece (B). Repeat for the other leg section.
Be sure to position the leg sections so the extended
foot is to the rear of the base.
STEP 6
Attach the two swing brackets to the outside of each
leg section by inserting a 1 ½” machine screw first
through the swing bracket, then through the nylon
sleeve securing with a washer and a locknut on the
inward side of the base. Repeat to other leg section.
Note: Look at the exploded picture at the right to
see how each bracket is secured. Do not over
tighten so the brackets can move back and forth.
