All lights are on, Fan motor runs but burner does not
light.
Is fuel supply valve open?
Open fuel supply valves to heater
Set the control valve to ON.

If no pressure, the control valve is defective. Replace control valve.

ignition
cable
been checked for
continuity?
Is
igniter
in
sulator
cracked?
Replace
igniter.
Has
igniter
been cleaned?
Clean
the
igniter
electrode. Use emery
cloth.
Check
hi
gh
voltage
ignition
cable
for resistance and tight
connections.
O
hm
reading
should
be about 9 K ohm. If no continuity
is read, replace cable.
Check
igniter
gap and regap to specifications.
Ensure lead is
connected at bot
h
components.

Determine if ignition control is sending high voltage:

properly gapped?
Is
ignition
lead
securely
connected to ignition
control
and
igniter?
Is
ignition
control sending
out high voltage?
Does
igniter
spark?
Is gas control valve set to ON
position?
Is gas control valve

proper inlet gas supply pressure?
Is gas control valve set to proper outlet
pressure?
Plugged burner or burner orifice. Clean these
components.

Close the heater's fuel supply valve.
•
Remove
ignition
lead
from
ignition
control
•
Hold an insulated screwdriver tip about 1/8 to 3/16 in. from
male ignition
terminal
on
control
•
Turn heater on
•
Spark
should
be
seen.
If
none,
replace
ignition
control.
