ACTIVE 12XT
Configure each 12XT as a
PASSIVE
enclosure by using the specific switch (see section 6.2).
7.3.1
“FULL RANGE” mode
7.3.1.1
Description
In ‘‘FULL RANGE’’ mode the ACTIVE 12XT enclosures are used in standalone configurations within their nominal
bandwidth (55 Hz - 20 kHz), for applications not requiring low frequency extension.
7.3.1.2
Connecting the ACTIVE 12XT to the LA4
The first two ACTIVE 12XT enclosures are connected to the output channels 1 and 3 of the LA4 controller. An
additional ACTIVE 12XT enclosure can be connected in parallel with each first one. Therefore a single LA4 amplified
controller can drive up to four ACTIVE 12XT enclosures (see Figure 9).
Note:
The system resources are optimized for two or four ACTIVE 12XT per LA4.

7.3.1.3
[12XTA_FR], [12XTA_FI], and [12XTA_MO] presets
The [12XTA_FR] ‘‘FRONT’’ preset features LF and HF shelving EQ for standalone FOH applications (without
subwoofers).
The [12XTA_FI] ‘‘FILL’’
preset results in a ‘‘flat’’ contour in free field conditions for use in speech reinforcement, classical
music, or close proximity fill applications.
The [12XTA_MO] ‘‘MONITOR’’ preset results in a ‘‘flat’’ contour in half-space loading conditions for floor monitoring,
wall, or ceiling-mounted applications.
Activate the LOAD PRESET menu from the LA4 amplified controller front panel and then select the desired preset.
Refer to the
‘‘LA4’’
user manual
for additional instructions. The preset is also accessible using the LA NETWORK
MANAGER software (refer to the
‘‘LA NETWORK MANAGER’’ user manual
). The accessible parameters in ‘‘FULL
RANGE’’ mode for the ACTIVE 12XT are shown in the following chart:
