HOW TO USE
Before using for the first time, check if the voltage rating on the base
plate corresponds to the power outlet in your home.
Remove all packing materials.
Clean the iron surface.
Some parts of the iron have been slightly greased and as a result, the
iron might slightly emit smoke when connected for the first time. This
however, will cease after you have used the iron for some time.
The iron heats up faster than it cools down so it is recommended to first
begin ironing the clothes which require lower ironing temperature
(synthetic fibre, fabric and silk), then iron the clothes of other materials
requiring higher temperature (woollen, cotton, jute, and etc.).
Place the iron vertically and set the Temperature Control Dial at “MIN”
setting.
Insert the power plug in suitable socket and set the Temperature Control
Dial on maximum temperature setting, the Indicator Light will light up.
Wait until the Indicator Light goes off – that indicates that your iron unit
is ready to use. Try to iron an old piece of cloth to check and adjust the
heating level of the iron.
SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
Turn the Temperature Control Dial to the position according to the
following markings:
CLEAN AND CARE
Turn the Temperature Control Dial to “MIN” setting and then unplug
from the outlet. Allow the iron to cool completely before putting away.
When removing the cord from the outlet, grasp the plug rather than
pulling the cord.
Avoid ironing over zippers or rivets on jeans for this may scratch the
soleplate.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents or any metallic and sharp objects
(e.g. scrubbing brush or knife) for cleaning.
