User’s Guide

DRAFT

Resetting the phone

If the phone does not respond to taps or key presses with the flip either
open or closed, you may need to perform a reset. There are two types of
resets—a soft reset and a hard reset.

To perform a soft reset

In a soft reset, all records and entries are
retained.

Turn the pdQ

over. Open the battery door

on the back of the phone.

2.

Press the reset button with the stylus.

To perform a hard reset

With a hard reset, all entries stored in the pdQ

2

are erased.

You can

restore previously synchronized data using a HotSync operation.

back of the phone.

Press and hold down the backlight key on the top of the phone.
