Greasing Hinge Carriage Bearings

This section details greasing procedure for the

Hinge Carriage

and the

Hinge Cutter Tray

. The illus

trations show the bearings as color coded to for easy identification.
For recommended greasing schedule for all assemblies,

see “Lubrication Schedule” on page

2-23.

For more information about linear bearings,

see “About Ball Rail Bearings” on page

2-19.

Recommended Tools

Hinge Carriage Greasing Procedure

Use an extender to reach tight areas.

Perform

Lockout/ Tagout.

Find the linear bearings identified in

Identify zerk fittings on the bearings.

Apply approximatively 1 Gram (one pump from grease gun) of EP-2 grease.

After lubrication is completed, clean up excess grease.

Reverse

Lockout/Tagout.

Hinge Carriage Grease Point Locations

The

Hinge Carriage

bearings provide a smooth movement in the horizontal axis and the vertical -

axis directions.
