Under the Self-call menu item (automated callback), you also
get information on the L1, TE and NT status; you may select
the time until the call is accepted using F3, and the service
options using F2.
BERT
BERT (Bits Error Rate Test) implements a self-call. So that an
incoming BERT connection can be accepted independent of
a second serial interface and an AT interpreter, an indepen-
dent process is running in the background. This process
checks all incoming data connections to determine whether
the called number (CdPN) corresponds to the set BERT
MSN. If this is the case and if automatic BERT call
acceptance is active, the process accepts the incoming call
and outputs (depending on the verbosity setting) a BERT
connect message. Then, the incoming data stream is
compared to the set test pattern. Differences are counted as
bit errors.

connection are clearly displayed.
