Using the appliance

When the fume catcher is pushed in, first the fan and then the light will be
switched off.
Operating instructions for use in extraction
mode
Switch on the appliance when you start cooking and switch it off again ap-
prox. 5 mins. after finishing cooking.
As long as the hood is in operation, the kitchen door should be left open
and the kitchen window should be closed.
The fat filter should be cleaned or changed about every 8 weeks, all depen-
ding on how often the appliance is used.

Operating instructions for use in recirculating
mode
Switch on the appliance when you start cooking and switch it off again
about 15 mins. after you have finished cooking. Close the kitchen door and
slightly open the kitchen window.
Conditions of guarantee
The conditions of guarantee applicable for this product are subject to those
published by the representative in the relevant country. Details regarding
same may be obtained from the dealer from whom the appliance was pur-
chased. For claims under guarantee the sales receipt must be produced.
Care and maintenance
Disconnect the applicance from the electricity supply when cleaning the ap-
pliance or when carrying out maintenance or repair jobs. Either pull the plug
out of the mains socket or turn off the main fuse.
Changing the filter
To remove the metal filter the cooker hood must be closed. Unlock the cat-
ches on the right and on the left by pressing towards the centre of the ap-
pliance and remove the filter.
Clean with the usual cleaning agents or wash in the dishwasher.
When replacing the filter press the catches inwards again.
Converting the appliance to recirculating
mode
To operate the appliance in recirculating mode you additionally require
activated carbon filters.
To install, first remove the fat filters as described above. Now press the
catches on the support frame of the carbon filters towards the centre and
insert the complete unit into the cooker hood. Then replace the fat filters.
If the appliance is continually operated in recirculating mode the activated carb-
on filters must be replaced regularly. Always replace the entire unit as a whole.
Changing the lamps or the starter
Remove the lamp cover after unscrewing the two fastening screws. Exchan-
ge the lamp or the starter. Only replace the lamp or the starter with parts
of an identical type. Then replace the lamp cover.
