Using the fan

In the center of the cooktop, the fan is positioned with the air exhaust down-
ward.
Remove the cover completely before using the fan.

Switching the fan on and off

1. Press the

Standby key

(about 1 sec.) until the unit goes into standby

mode.

2. Press the

plus key

from the fan. Then you can choose with the

plus-

or minus key

a desired power level 1, 2, 3 or 4. The symbol for

the fan

lights up. The intensive level 4 remains for 10 minutes, then it

will automatically switch back to level 3.

3. To switch off the fan press the

minus key

until 0 is displayed.

Fan run

The fan run is used after cooking to eliminate cooking odors. In addition, the
filters are dried in the fan.

Setting the fan run

1. Press the

plus-

and minus key

from the fan simultaneously. The

fan run for 10 minutes is set. It lights up the symbol

for fan run.

2. Press again the

plus-

and minus key

simultaneously

to set the

fan run for 60 minutes.

3. By pressing again simultaneously the keys, the fan run will switched off.

Follow-up time

The fan motor should continue running for 5 - 10 minutes every time the hob
is used for cooking.
When operating with circulation filters, please always use a follow-up time of
10-60 minutes after cooking, to reach the optimal odor elimination.
In very rare cases it can happen that when restarting the fan, odor molecules
stored in the filter mingle with the steam and can be sensed again. These
residue odors will disappear during further operation.
Tips
You can put a wooden spoon under the lid of your pot on the fan side when
using a tall cooking pot (such as an asparagus pot) in order to ensure that the
extractor also works well with tall pots.
