What to do if trouble occurs

Interference with and repairs to the appliance by unqualified per-
sons are dangerous as they can result in an electric shock or a
short circuit. Do not interfere with or try to repair the appliance;
this could cause injury to persons and damage to the appliance.
Always have such work done by an expert, e.g. a Customer
Service technician.

Please note

If your appliance is faulty, please check whether you can rectify
the problem yourself by consulting these instructions for use.

You may be able to rectify some problems yourself. They are
described below.

The fuses blow regularly?

• Contact a technical customer service or an electrician!

You can’t switch your hob on?

• Has the wiring system (fuse box) in the house blown a fuse?

metallic object? A buzzer will sound briefly. After a few sec-
onds the appliance will switch off. Please remove the item
located in front of the sensor keys.

• Has the safety cut-off device been activated, i.e. was a cook-

ing setting operated unchanged beyond a specific period of
time? See the section on “operation time limit”.

cient ventilation. See the section on “Protection against overheat-

can a buzzing sound be heard when the hob is switched on?

• This is design-specific and has no influence on quality and
