OPERATION
Freewheel brake
With the freewheel brake, the user controls how the push cable can me unwound from
the reel. When adjusted correctly, the push cable doesn’t unroll uncontrolled but can be
unwound smoothly and without resistance.
Make sure that the reel is locked or hold the reel basket with one hand to avoid unintended
unwinding of the push cable.
Turn the wing nut counter-clockwise in order to make the rod unwind and rewind more
easily. Turn the wing nut clockwise in order to make the rod unwind and rewind less easily.
Reel lock
In order to lock the reel, turn the reel lock counter-clockwise until it snaps. The reel turns to
the next bar of the reel basket and stops. Now the rod cannot be unwound or rewound.
In order to unlock the reel, turn the reel lock clockwise until it snaps. While doing so hold the
reel basket with one hand. Now the rod can be unwound or rewound.
WARNING
Risk of injury!
When unwinding and rewinding the rod, injuries can be caused by the turning reel and
unintended unwinding of the rod. Therefore:
• Never reach into the reel basket during operation.
• Always lock the reel if the rod should not unwind or rewind.
Connect reel to basic device
Connect the 4-pole plug of the reel with
the 4-pole connector of the camera.
Make sure that the plug is in the correct
position. Therefor the pins have to
face the holes. This can be achieved by
turning the camera.
