15 OPERATING THE ENGINE

Check Easy Checker(TM) Lamps:
1. When the key is turned "ON", lamps (2) (3) should
come on. If trouble should occur at any location while
the engine is running, the indicator lamp
corresponding to that location comes on.
2. Suppose that the engine coolant temperature is not
high enough yet. The heater indicator (4) also comes
on when the key is turned "ON" to preheat the engine
and goes off automatically when preheat is completed.
Illumination time of indicator varies according to the
temperature of coolant
3. The PTO clutch indicator (1) comes on while PTO
clutch control lever is engaged "ON" and goes off
when disengaged "OFF" it.
4. The parking brake / Brake oil warning lamp (5) comes
on while parking brake is applied and goes off when it
is released.

Daily checks with the Easy Checker(TM) only, are not
sufficient. Never fail to conduct daily checks carefully
by referring to Daily Check.

section.)

Because of the safety devices, the engine will not start
except when the PTO clutch control lever is placed in
the "OFF" position and main gear shift lever is placed
in the "NEUTRAL" position.
If an indicator is still on, immediately stop the engine and
determine the cause.
6. Insert the key into the key switch and
turn it "ON".

The accessories can be used while the
engine is stopped.

Do not leave the key at "ACC" position. The
battery will be quickly discharged. Turn it
back to "OFF" after use.

7. Fully depress the clutch pedal.
8. Turn the key to "START" position and
release when the engine starts.
9. Check to see that all the indicators on
the Easy Checker(TM) are "OFF" .
10. Release the clutch pedal.
