•
A crushing hazard exists while connecting and
disconnecting the K-Hitch. Keep people and animals away
while backing-up to or pulling away from, the K-Hitch.
Do not operate hydraulic controls while a person or animal
is directly behind the power machine or near the K-Hitch.
•
Do not engage power take-off while connecting or

WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Lightweight tractors with rear attached implements may need
weights added to the front to maintain steering control.
Consult your tractor Operator’s Manual to determine weight
requirements and maximum limitations.
CAUTION
!
To avoid minor or moderate injury:
Keep a firm grip on the K-Hitch at all times while connecting/
disconnecting it to a tractor. Keep feet and all other body
extremities out from under the lower 3-point hitch areas, as
the unit could fall causing injury. When possible, have a
second person on hand to help.
Refer to Figure 1-1:
1. Shutdown tractor according to
2. Connect tractor side of driveline by pulling lock collar
back and sliding onto power take-off shaft. Once on
shaft, release pull collar and push forward until the
collar locks forward in place. Ensure it is locked by
trying to move it forward and backwards.
3. Using an overhead hoist, carefully position the K-
Hitch upright on the ground close to the tractor’s 3-
point lift arms with hitch pin side of K-Hitch closest to
the tractor.
4. Remove linchpins (#2) and lower hitch pins (#1).
Remove hairpin cotter (#4) and upper hitch pin (#3).
5. Raise K-Hitch to align the lower hitch pin holes with
the lower 3-point lift arm holes. Insert hitch pins (#1)
and secure with linchpins (#2).
IMPORTANT:
Because of the weight of the K-Hitch
it is recommended that you use an overhead hoist to
connect/disconnect the K-Hitch.
