Operate the hand brake lever repeatedly until the brake linings lie on the brake disc
and there is a pressure point. Fix the hand brake lever in the activated position.
The brake caliper straightens.

Pull the front brake and push down hard on the fork several times.
The fork legs become aligned.

Removing the rear wheel

Preparatory work
–
Raise the motorcycle with the lift stand. (

Main work
–
Press the brake caliper by hand on to the brake disc in order to press back the
brake piston.
Info
Make sure when pushing back the brake piston that you do not press the
brake caliper against the spokes.

Remove nut

Remove chain adjuster

. Withdraw wheel spindle

only enough to allow the rear
wheel to be pushed forward.

Push the rear wheel forward as far as possible.
–
Holding the rear wheel, withdraw the wheel spindle. Take the rear wheel out of the
swing arm. Remove the chain from the rear sprocket.
–
Take the rear wheel out of the swing arm.
Info
Do not operate the foot brake when the rear wheel is removed.
Always lay the wheel down in such a way that the brake disc is not dam-
aged.
