Rear shock absorber - removing the heim joint

Info

The operations are the same on the top and bottom heim joint.

Condition

The shock absorber has been removed.

Clamp the shock absorber in a vise using soft jaws.

–

Remove both collar bushings

of the heim joint using a pin.

Remove seal rings

on both sides.

Press the heim joint against a lock ring using the special tool.
