6.10 Ashscrew.
The ashscrew of a KSM boiler is monitored and controlled by Motor 3, in relation to the stoker screw.
By operating in a percentage relationship with the stoker screw, the ashscrew will automatically run more
when the stoker is in Step 3, than when the stoker is in Step 1.
The ashscrew is adjusted according to the actually combusted fued type and, therefore, it should be
adjusted so that the ashpit in the boiler bottom is half full most of the time.
If the ashscrew runs too much, the ashes are too hot when they are conveyed into the ashpit.

Use the arrow keys to select the ashscrew running period in percentage of the stoker screw, select a value
between 1 and up to 255%.
After selection of the wanted proportion in % press ”MENU”, and your choice has been saved.

6.11 Moving Floor ON.
The moving floor and the boiler cleaning system (if mounted) are activated during the set number of
seconds. This period must always be shorter than the time needed for the moving floor to run all the way
forward and all the way home, otherwise the moving floor will run several times right after each other
during each activation.
By boilers with automatic fluetube cleaner, this should be set close to maximum.

6.12 Moving floor OFF.
The period of time to be set between the activations of the moving floor and the boiler cleaning system (if
mounted) fully depends on the actually used fuel type.
By fuel producing a lot of ashes and clinker we recommend to let the system run approx. every 20
th
minute, and by woodpellets and similar fuels only once per hour, or even with longer intervals.
