Step 1: When the temperature rises to more than 1°C over set, and up to 5°C over set, the control will
switch to step 1.
Here, the combustion air fan pulses with a short blow and a long break.
Step 0: When the temperature rises to more than 5°C over the set-point, the control will switch to step 0.
Here, the combustion air fan runs as at step 1, but the screw running period will be halved in
comparison with step 1.
As the combustion air fan will continue to run at step 0, the temperature may continue to rise in
case of no heat consumption. Should the temperature rise continue, after 10 min at step 0, or
should the temperature rise more than 10
o
C above the set-point, the control will switch to the
pause mode.

If the plant temperature continues to rise even if the output is at minimum, the plant will switch to pause
when the temperature has risen to more than 10
o
C above the set-point.
In case of a reasonably large consumption, the temperature will start falling and after some time it will
fall below the set-point, the plant will then start up again – and the actual Step will be shown on the
display.
4.5 Pause Firing.
When the plant has switched to pause and does not run, the fire should not die out, this is prevented
through the plant starting up with adequate intervals involving the feeding of just a little fuel, and the
combustion air fan will run for 30 sec.
The pause firing programming will be described later on.
4.6 Programmes.
The control allows for 3 fix programmes with settings for 3 different bio fuel types. This possibility
makes it very simple to switch among the various available bio fuel types.
On delivery, all programmes have been pre-set by KSM, at standard settings.
It may of course be necessary to modify one or more of the programmes. The next section will describe
how to change the programmes, and how to set them.
