Satety precautions
Although KS AUDIO professional active speakers represent heavy duty tools for daily use, please refer
to the following information in the operating manual under all circumstances.
Mechanical system / rigging components:
All system components must be inspected for faults before use. This also includes the loudspeaker
and in particular the rigging sockets of the cabinets. Damaged components must be withdrawn from
use immediately as defect devices may harm additional equipment. P LINE always includes
integrated flying system with all rigging components supplied as a standard. Please also refer to load
capacity of all hardware components used in specific installation respectively array set up. Ensure
safe operation and set up of loudspeakers respectively speaker stands. Please secure loudspeaker
stacks with corresponding straps against random action or massive failure entirely.
Power supply (connecting to power amplifiers):
Before connecting your KS AUDIO speaker systems to mains, please check correct input voltage
selected on concerning electronic device. Make sure, Powercon plug remains in locked position in
loudspeaker power input for sure. While voltage supplied via Powercon plug, do not disconnect
under all circumstances! Mains always have to be equipped with protective ground! Also all
electronic devices connected together with signal core must use common protective ground
otherwise massive failure of loudspeaker and/or electric shock may occur.
Hearing protection:
Even at minimum input gain, P LINE is capable of generating sound pressure levels causing
permanent hearing loss or damage. Always wear ear protection in close proximity of the operating
system.
Danger of personal injury:
While running the system, misuse may result in severe injury due to moving and falling parts.
Electrical and magnetic disorder:
Transducers of loudspeaker are well-known for generating a certain magnetic field capable of
destroying credit cards, magnet tapes and so forth. The Speakon Thru socket always is in contact of
dangerous voltage so please consider to avoid moisture at this certain area for safety reasons. Do
not allow water or other fluids to penetrate a loudspeaker system whatever the circumstances are.
Cleaning:
Heavy contamination of electronic components caused by dirt, dust and so forth are dangerous for
electronic devices and may result in short circuits of the system. Please consider, to open,
respectively to clean your equipment as well as the foam of amplifiers and loudspeakers regularly as
a routine.
Dirty loudspeaker front foams may result in audible high frequency loss caused by absorption.
