Warning!
During loading and cocking the firing pin you must ensure that the gun is not pointing at
any person. The firing pin should not be cocked until the last possible moment prior to firing.
Never hold the muzzle of the gun. Ensure that the lower part of the gun, from where the bolt
protrudes, is never pointed at anybody, especially not when checking it for possible defects. Loaded guns
should be unloaded without delay if they are not to be used right away.
Firing
4. Place the lock on the animal’s cranium whilst holding the gun firmly in place with your right
hand at all times. The shot is released by pressing the trigger. Be sure to press the trigger all the
way back.
5. If the gun fails to go off, the igniting mechanism must be activated once more after approx. 30 seconds.
If ignition fails again, proceed as follows: unscrew the head-piece and carefully remove the cartridge.
When the head-piece has been unscrewed, the cartridge case can easily be pulled out with the fingers.
Subsequently clean the chamber right away with the small brush.
6. Aim the gun vertically at the weakest point of the cranium and maintain this position during shooting,
as the bolt might otherwise get stuck in the cranium bone and thus make it impossible for the bolt
spring to retract.
7. Warning! Firing pin must never be cocked. Check whether the firing pin is still in order. When unscrewing
the head-piece it is vital to ensure that the firing pin does not protrude from the head-piece, as it might
otherwise ignite prematurely during the process. Change the firing pin spring and the counter spring
where required. Repairs are to be carried out by the manufacturer/distributor unless the user will agree to
incorporate spare parts supplied solely by the manufacturer, eg bolt, rubber buffer, bolt spring.
8. In any case avoid free shots – fire trial shots only against thick wooden support!
9. A good functioning of the device is warranted if you use the ammunition from the distributor/manufacturer.
Maintenance and Cleaning
It is recommended to carefully clean the device after each use, at any rate prior to use, if the apparatus has
been left unused for a long period of time, as powder residue can be the cause of misfire.
1. Unscrew the head-piece - make sure that the gun is not loaded. Screw off the lock.
2. Remove the bolt spring, the rubber buffer and the bolt
3. Carefully clean the inside of the barrel, the distance piece, the outer surfaces of the gun and all
remaining parts with the supplied brushes. If necessary, rust and heavy dirt can be wiped off beforehand
with petroleum or diesel oil. Once the parts have dried they can then be oiled with machine oil.
(Keep the rubber buffer free from oil).
