TROUBLESHOOTING FOR TTY/TDD-WIRELESS CALL
There are many new technologies that have been used to establish
the wireless communication link between users. It is possible to
have errors in any phone conversation. Below are some tips to
assist with any questions that you may have.
çGarbled texté
It maybe caused by lost, damaged, or late signals sent through the
air to the receiver. It happens with any wireless call, even with
non-TTY calls, and mainly caused by nature.
Move your TDD and the cell phone to where you receive strong
and consistent signal.
If you use a cordless phone, refer to your ownerês manual to know
how to switch channels or move closer to the base to strengthen the
signal. Check to make sure that you have a good connection from
the cable to the TDD and the wireless phone.
çDropped callsé
This happens when you are moving between 2 cell towers or in
valleys, hills, and tunnels. Try to redial when you have a stronger
signal from your cell phone.
(This is common when traveling, or having a weak signal)
çFeedbacké
If your çPHONEé light on your TDD is constantly on, your
PV20JR is getting possible feedback. Reduce the volume of your
cell phone or cordless phone until the receiving messages are clear.
