9.2.1 

Genset

Servicing the system can be dangerous
due to moving parts, hot coolant, and elec-
trical components. Only trained and quali-
fied maintenance personnel may install, re-
pair, or service the system. Ensure that the
power is off and that the negative battery
terminal has been disconnected before
work is performed on the unit. 

 ○

Fuel containers pose an explosive, fire
and cracking hazard, even if the fuel
has emptied.

 ○

Watch out for rotating and hot (ex-
haust) parts.

 ○

Do not use fuel to clean the air filter.

 ○

Do not clean with high-pressure.

 ○

Do not allow soap and water to enter
the generator.

Also observe the enclosed supplier

documentation.

9.2.2 

Regular checks and functional
testing

To ensure that the trailer is in proper oper-
ating condition, the safety-related equip-
ment must be checked regularly for proper
function, its effectiveness must be ensured
and the recurring inspections must be per-
formed.

► Prior to starting each trip, perform a

departure check 

(see "7.4 Commissioning

before each trip", pg. 63)

.

► Perform legally prescribed general in-

spections punctually.

► Observe the intervals and instructions

for testing and maintenance of the
supplied components (e.g. axles) con-
tained within the respective supplied
operating instructions.

► Report any detected safety defects:

 ○

Take the trailer out of operation if oper-
ational safety is not ensured.

 ○

When there is a change of shift, inform
the colleague starting the next shift
about observed defects and implemen-
ted measures.

► Perform the following checks and func-

tional testing at the intervals pre-
scribed:
