2.1 General
The mobile air cleaner LR5300 from Kroll is the
result of intense development work. We are con-
vinced to herewith hand you over a top product.
For a long useful life and a trouble-free opera-
tion, all details indicated in this manual regarding
installation and commissioning have to be res-
pected and carried out carefully.
Read this manual carefully before installation
and commissioning.
Warning
The LR5300 is a mobile air filtering unit. Air is
taken in from the ambiance and lead through a
two-stage filter system. The filters absorb sus
-
pended particles from the air, such as grit and
fine dusts, mould spores, pet hair and smoke.
In addition to the recirculated-air operation, the
necessary vacuum for clean-up operations can
be created by connecting air hoses to the unit.
Furthermore, the filtered air can be discharged/
taken in in a controlled manner from both the air
intake side and the air outlet side by connecting
hoses. In order to create “clean air”, the air flow
and the filtering have been harmonized optimally
with each other. The motor leads the air through
two different filters – one pre-filter and one main
filter. The first stage of filtration (pre-filter) sepa
-
rates grits of up to 3 μm size. The second stage
of filtration (main filter) separates fine dusts and
aerosols of up to 1 μm size.
As we use filters of filter class HEPAH14 accor
-
ding to DIN EN 1822, respectively the dust class
H according to DIN EN 60335, the filtering unit
is suitable for the filtration of certain biological
working materials, such as mould spores and
other harmful substances. The necessary ven-
tilation number depends on the kind of harmful
substance. The corresponding official rules and
standards have to be observed. The duty of
information search in case of working with harm-
ful substances lies in the hands of the operator
of the unit. The operator of the unit may have
to make a risk assessment before starting the
clean-up operations.
