1.1 General notes
These safety instructions are valid for the pressure transmitter OPTIBAR * 5060
VGK5/6/D*A/W/V R/H/1/7/S/T with integrated electronics type Z (4…20 mA), H
(4…20 mA/HART
®
), A (4…20 mA/HART
®
with SIL qualification), P (Profibus PA), F (Foundation
Fieldbus), S, T (electronic differential pressure measurement) without additional electronics (X)
and OPTIBAR * 5060 VGK5/6/D*A/W/V R/H/1/7/S/T with integrated electronics type H (4…20
mA/HART®) or A (4…20 mA/HART® with SIL qualification) with additional electronics (Z)
according to the EU type examination certificate TÜV 16 ATEX 162917 X.
The OPTIBAR * 5060 VGK5/6/D*A/W/V R/H/1/7/S/T*******(*) pressure transmitters monitor,
control and regulate levels and pressures, even in areas with flammable bulk goods that create
dust.
The OPTIBAR * 5060 VGK5/6/D*A/W/V R/H/1/7/S/T*******(*) consist of a metallic process
connection element, a sensor and converter electronics in a metal or plastic housing (remote
version, with electronics housing in Ex-free area).
The OPTIBAR * 5060 VGK5/6/D*A/W/V R/H/1/7/S/T*******(*) are suitable for use in explosive
atmospheres with flammable dust, for applications that require equipment in category 1D, 1/2D,
1/3D, 1/2/-D or 2D.
If the OPTIBAR * 5060 VGK5/6/D*A/W/V R/H/1/7/S/T*******(*) are installed and operated in
hazardous areas, the general installation conditions for explosion protection EN 60079-14 and
this safety information must be observed.
The requirements of EN 61241-1, in relation to dust accumulation and temperature for example,
must be met.
1.2 EU conformity
The manufacturer declares with the EU declaration of conformity on his own responsibility
conformity with the protection goals of directive 2014/34/EU according to EN IEC 60079-0,
EN 60079-11 and EN 60079-31 for use in hazardous areas with dust.
The EU type test certificate forms the basis of the EU declaration of conformity:
The "X" after the certificate number refers to special conditions for safe use of the device, which
have been listed in these instructions.
