NOTE:
Circles between 164mm and 182 mm in radius
cannot be cut with this guide.
Align the center hole in the parallel guide with the
center of the circle to be cut. Drive in a nail less than
6mm in diameter to secure the parallel guide. Pivot
the trimmer around the nail in clockwise direction.
(See Fig. M)
Dust Guard (See Fig. N)
Dust guard is used together with the roller guide.
Before fine cutting, insert the dust guard (15) into
the base plate and then fit the Roller guide. It
prevents dust blowing from the side and ensures safe
observation.
Roller guide (See Fig. O, P)
With the roller guide, trimming, curved cuts in veneers
for furniture and the like can be handled easily. The
roller guide rides the curve and assures a fine cut.
Install the roller guide on the base plate with the
adjusting screw (A) (5). Loosen the adjusting screw (A)
(9) and adjust the distance between the tool bit and
the roller guide by turning the adjusting screw (B) (7)
(1mm per turn). Then tighten the adjusting screw (A)
(9) to secure the roller guide at the desired distance.
When cutting, always ensure the guide roller of the
tool is firmly held or clamped on the workpiece.
Replacing the carbon brushes (See Fig. Q, R)
Remove and check the carbon brushes regularly.
Replace when they wear down to the limit mark.
Remove the motor brush cover with a screwdriver and
get out the worn carbon brushes. Insert the new ones
and then secure the brush holder caps.
Use only identical carbon brushes. Make sure to
replace both of them at the same time. Keep the
carbon brushes clean.
