OPERATION
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE:
Before using the tool, read the
instruction book carefully.
Intended Use
The machine is intended for sawing wood, plastic,
metal, and building materials while resting firmly on the
workpiece. It is suitable for straight and curved cuts.
When using the appropriate bimetal saw blades, it is
possible to cut flush to the workpiece surface. The saw
blade recommendations must be observed.
KNOW YOUR RECIPROCATING SAW
vibrafree ™ RECIPROCATING SAW
are uniquely
designed to cancel out the saw’s vibration in every load
condition. This active vibration canceling technology
makes this saw more comfortable and easy to use,
taking the vibration out of the saw, the workpiece,
your hands and arms, and putting this energy to work
sawing and removing material.
1.TRIGGER SWITCH (SEE FIG. A)
Depress the switch to start and release it to stop your
tool.
The blade plunger stroke rate can be adjusted from the
minimum to maximum by the pressure you apply to the
trigger. Apply more pressure to increase the speed and
release pressure to decrease speed. (SEE FIG. A)
2. VARIABLE SPEED DIAL (SEE FIG. B)
The strokes per minute can be adjusted just by turning
the variable speed dial. This can be done even while
the tool is running. The control is marked 1 (lowest
speed) to 6 (full speed). Turn the speed control without
positive stops between 1 and 6 according to your
work. Refer to the table to select the proper speed
for the workpiece to be cut. However, the appropriate
speed may differ with the type or thickness of the
workpiece. In general, higher speeds will allow you to
cut workpieces faster but the service life of the blade
will be reduced.

NOTE:
• If the tool is operated continuously at low speeds for
a long period of time, the operation life of the motor will
be reduced.
• The variable speed control can be turned only as far
as 6 and back to 1. Do not force it past 6 or 1, or the
speed adjusting function may no longer work.
3. HAND GRIP AREAS (SEE FIG. C)
Always hold your saw firmly with both hands when
operating.
4. TOOL-LESS BLADE FITTING (SEE FIG. D, E)
To install the blade, disconnect the saw from power
supply. If necessary, extend the pivoting blade foot
away from the blade clamp for easier access. Pull the
tool-less blade clamp lever (3) up with your thumb in
clockwise direction. (SEE FIG. D) Insert the blade into
the saw’s blade clamp and make sure that the blade
attaches to the blade pin inside the clamp. Release
the blade clamp lever (3) to ensure the blade is locked
securely in place.
Before removing the saw blade, make sure it’s already
cooled. To remove Blade, disconnect saw from power
supply. If necessary, extend the pivoting blade foot
away from the blade clamp for easier access. First, pull
the blade clamp lever (3) up with your thumb, and then
pull the blade out of the blade clamp. (SEE FIG. E)
WARNNING:
Do not remove the saw blade
immediately when finished your working, you
may get burned by the hot blade.
5. TOOL-LESS FOOT PLATE ADJUSTMENT (SEE
FIG.F)
If you need to reduce the cutting capacity of your
tool (depth of cut), the pivoting foot plate (6) may be
adjusted as follows.
Press the tool-less foot plate adjusting button (7) on
