This guide helps you install and use your 482xl for the first time.

Step 2: Get to know your 482xl
# Feature Function
1 UNBAL TO BAL L LEVEL Trimmer Adjust the left unbalanced audio output signal level (see Step 5)
2 R LEVEL Trimmer Adjust the right unbalanced audio output signal level
3 BAL TO UNBAL L LEVEL Trimmer Adjust the left balanced audio output signal level
4 R LEVEL Trimmer Adjust the right balanced audio output signal level
5 ON LED Illuminates when receiving power
6 BALANCED IN 5-pin Terminal Block Connector Connect to the balanced audio source
7 UNBAL OUT 3-pin Terminal Block Connector Connect to the unbalanced audio acceptor
8 UNBAL IN 3-pin Terminal Block Connector Connect to the unbalanced audio source
9 BALANCED OUT 5-pin Terminal Block Connector Connect to the balanced audio acceptor
10 12V DC +12V DC connector for powering the unit
Step 3: Mount 482xl
Install 482xl using one of the following methods:
•
Attach the rubber feet and place the unit on a flat surface.
•
Fasten a bracket on each side of the unit and attach it to a flat surface
(see www.kramerav.com/downloads/482xl ).
•
Mount the unit in a rack using the recommended rack adapter
(see www.kramerav.com/product/482xl ).
•
Ensure that the environment (e.g., maximum ambient temperature &
air flow) is compatible for the device.
•
Avoid uneven mechanical loading.
•
Appropriate consideration of equipment nameplate ratings should be
used for avoiding overloading of the circuits.
•
Reliable earthing of rack-mounted equipment should be maintained.
