Changing the Device Name
SL-280
device name is used by DNS when addressing the device and is necessary for
accessing the device for the first time using a Web browser.
To change the name of your device:
1. Click
Device Settings
on the left side of the web page (
Figure 5
).

2. In the General info area, enter a new name in the Device name field.
The device name cannot include any spaces, can be up to 14 characters and can
include letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores only.
3. Click
Save Changes

Setting the Date and Time
SL-280
web pages enable you to manually set the date and time for your
SL-280
device or to
use a time server to automatically set the date and time. Date and time settings are used by
the device for logging purposes (see
Using the Log
on page
23
), and for time driven events as
defined through Kramer Control Builder.
To set the date and time for your device:
1. Click
Device Settings
on the left side of the web page (
Figure 5
).
The Device Settings page appears (

).
2. In the Time and Date area, if Use time server (NTP) is set to ON, click
OFF
and click in
the relevant fields to define the date, time and time zone.

3. Click the
ON
button, enter the time server address in the Time server address field, and
click
Set
.
