3.1 Installation Planning
•
This appliance requires
the installation of a wall switch, remote,
or thermostat in a convenient location for ease of operation.
•
This appliance has outlets for both top and rear venting. It
is shipped as top vent exit. For rear vent conversion, refer to
Section 7.1 Rear Vent Conversion Instructions on page 31.
•
Determine your vent requirements before framing your
appliance. Refer to Section 7.0 Venting on page 31.
•
If planning to convert to propane, it is easier to complete the
gas conversion before framing in the fireplace. See the #OCK-
S625A manual for complete conversion instructions. If you
convert the fireplace to propane after fireplace installation, you
will have to remove several components in order to access the
burner and pilot system. See Section 8.4 Control Board Removal
and Installation on page 47 for access to the burner and pilot
system before and after installation.
Please read the instructions in this manual carefully for your
specific installation.

Please be aware of the large amount of heat this fireplace will
produce when determining a location.
