3. Safety
3.1.
Operational Safety
•
Read the Owner’s Manual before using the machine
•
Keep clothing and body away from all moving parts while machine is
moving
•
Stay clear of machine while it’s operating, debris can be thrown
considerable distances from the rotor
•
Do not ride on the machine
•
Watch out for pinch points from moving parts
•
Familiarize yourself with all aspects of machine before operating
•
Ensure safety tongue pin is in place before transporting
•
Make sure transport wheels are properly pinned in before transporting
down the road
•
Ensure skirts are rotated inwards and pinned down before
transporting.
•
Observe and follow all proper state laws while driving down roads
•
Make sure tongue pin is removed before operating tongue cylinder
•
Make sure rear PTO attached to gearbox is removed before switching
to transport mode
•
Check that all paddles are bolted down properly and replace
bent/broken ones before operating machine. Broken paddles can fly
off rotor at high speeds and cause serious injury
•
Wear proper hand, eye, and ear protection while operating and
working on machine
•
Make sure all guards are in place before using machine
