USB (J16, J65, J236, J237)
COM Express defines a maximum of 8 USB Ports. On ETXexpress UGM Baseboard 4 USB Ports (USB0-
USB3) are provided via rear panel connector (J16) and two (USB4 & USB6) ports via onboard pin header
(J65). USB Port 5 is used for Express Card.

With jumpers J236 and J237 it is possible to switch the USB supply voltage from st5V to
+5VStandby Voltage. This is necessary to enable USB wakeup events if supported by the module.
Note:
When switching USB supply voltage to 5V Standby check the maximum available 5V Standby current from
your power supply.
All 7 USB Ports (USB0-USB6) are ESD and over-current protected. USB7 from ETXexpress is not used on
ETXexpress UGM Baseboard.
Note:
If Express Card USB function and USB Port 6 can be used depends on the modules specification. For the
Express Card USB function a module with at least 6 USB ports is necessary. A module with 8 USB Ports will
support all USB connections.
