(25) Check a clearance (3.0 mm ± 2.0 mm) is 

ensured between the main body and the large 
capacity unit.

Note:

    • If there is no clearance between the main body 

and the large capacity unit, the large capacity 
unit presses against the main body. In this 
case, follow step (26) and onward to adjust the 
height of the large capacity unit.

    • If there is an appropriate clearance between the 

two units, go to page E-9 and perform  <Load-
ing paper>, without making any height adjust-
ment.

(26) Remove the large capacity unit from the main 

body and open the upper door of the large 
capacity unit.

(27) Remove the right cover of the large capacity 

unit. (Four screws)

(28) Disconnect the connector and remove the har-

ness from the wire saddle.

(29) Loosen the screws on the right side (three 

screws each for front and rear) and the left side 
(two screws each for front and rear) of the large 
capacity unit. Then remove the front cover.

(30) Remove the plate from the rear side of the large 

capacity unit and remove the rear cover. (Two 
screws)
