TrawlEye Mode function
Depending on your operational needs or on the properties of your PX TrawlEye, you
can choose how to see your echogram. If the PX TrawlEye is equipped with a Depth
Lid and the depth measurement is enabled, you can also select to view the PX TrawlEye
echogram in true motion.
How to open
This function is opened from the
Active
menu.
Description
The TV80 shows the echograms provided by the PX TrawlEye sensor.
Details
Fixed headrope
The echogram will work in the area defined between where the TrawlEye is placed
and the selected range.
If your TrawlEye sensor is configured for Dual Range,
Fixed Headrope
has
two different values between brackets. With dual range, 50% of the echogram
resolution is used on the first 5, 10, 15 or 20 meters; the rest of the resolution is
used on the rest of the echogram: that is 95, 90, 85 or 80 meters.
True Motion
In True Motion mode you can gradually see how deep your sensor is falling. True
Motion is especially important in bottom trawling since you can visualize how the
headrope - where the sensor is mounted- increases depth in real time. When the
TrawlEye sensor is mounted on the trawl doors, the
True Motion mode is also a
valuable tool for some fisheries to see in detail, and with fast update rate, how
doors approach the bottom and how far from it they are.
Sensor function
If you have more than one PX TrawlEye sensors connected to your system, this is the
place to select and identify the one you want to see.
