On the

Add LAN Port

at the bottom of the

I/O Setup

page.

Select the system you want to interface from the list provided.

The “block diagram” shows the selected system and the Ethernet port icon.

Select the LAN port icon in the “block diagram” to open the

UDP Configuration

dialog box.

Define the relevant communication parameters on the

UDP Configuration

dialog box.

Select

to save the selected settings and close the dialog box.

Select

Navigation

to open the dialog box.

Open the relevant page.

Select the communication port you want to use.

Select which NMEA datagram you want to use.

If applicable, specify a dedicated Talker ID.

Setting up the NMEA output to any external system on a
serial (COM) port

The TV80 can export sensor NMEA data on a dedicated communication port (serial or
Ethernet). In the

Select Input (COM)

dialog box you can select the input for the available

serial ports for interface purposes.

Prerequisites

•

You have a vacant interface port on your computer.

•

You are familiar with NMEA and other relevant datagram formats.

•

You know how to set up the parameters for serial communication.

Context
