Preparing the appliance for use
Battery operation
1. Loosen the locking device

on the battery
compartment

and slide it in the direction of
the arrow. Withdraw the battery compartment
cover

from the retainer tracks.
2. Pull the battery holder

out of the battery com-
partment. Take care not not to pull on the con-
necting cable

3. Insert batteries of type D into the battery holder

as per the marked polarities.
4. Replace the battery holder

into the battery
compartment so that it runs into the retainer tracks.
Ensure that the connector cable

does not be-
come trapped.
5. Slide the battery compartment lid

into the
retainer tracks until the snap tab engages when
the lid is closed.
Mains power operation
1. Insert the plug of the power transformer into the
power transformer socket

2. Connect the power transformer with a mains
power socket.
Using the appliance
Mode of operation
Undesirable insects, such as mosquitoes and midges,
are attracted to the UV light. They fly to it and then
make contact with the high voltage mesh, which kills
them quickly.
1. Place the appliance as close as possible to your
seating, on a level and dry surface.
