NOTES
This instruction provides installation information
for two faucet models. Be sure to follow only the
steps that apply to your installation.
The K-1097 uses two valves, one for the bath fill,
and another for the shower. Pay special attention
to this feature when planning your site
preparation.
Avoid excessive heat if you solder connections,
to prevent damage to the fitting.
Flush all piping thoroughly before installing the
valve.
Observe all local plumbing codes.
Do not force the handle(s) in any direction. To
turn the valve off, gently turn to the “Off” position.
For the K-1097, do not use any plastic pipe
between the Rite-Temp
valve and spout.
Do not connect a deck-mount spout, diverter, or
hand shower to the spout outlet, unless you cap
the shower outlet on valve.
Install pipe or tube in a straight drop of 7” to 18”
with only one elbow between the valve and the
wall-mounted spout. Other types of installations
may cause unsatisfactory shower performance.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Remove
the aspirator, plaster guards, and valve units before
you apply heat to the yoke.
