Is the resistance correct?

Checking the DRYER HEATER

Enter mode 3. See

Setting the Diagnostic Modes

[2]

Observe LED 8 on the DRIVE BOARD.

[3]

Press the “RUN” BUTTON on the CONTROL
BOARD.

Note

The circuit for the DRYER HEATER and LED 8 on the
DRIVE BOARD will actuate for 0.2 seconds.

[4]

Does LED 8 illuminate for 0.2 seconds?

[5]

Remove the SIDE COVER of the PROCESSOR
BASE for access to the components of the
DRYER HEATER.

[6]

If LED 8 illuminates and the DRYER HEATER does not actuate, check the resistance of DRYER HEATER H52:

[7]

Is the resistance correct?

[8]

Check that the resistance of DRYER HEATER OVERTEMPERATURE THERMOSTAT SW53 is approximately
0 ohms.

[9]

Is the resistance correct?

Yes

Install a new DEVELOPER HEATER RELAY
SSR51.

Install a new DEVELOPER HEATER
OVERTEMPERATURE THERMOSTAT SW52.
